Our experience

Polypodphoto's principal photographer Michael Sleigh has over 30 years of experience in the areas of photography and education, combined with a working knowledge of Graphics, 3D Design, Buildings, Architecture and Heritage.

After a training in Design Mike worked with architectural practices and undertook graphic design work. He then was at West Surrey College of Art & Design for 14 years providing technical and teaching support on the photography, audio-visual, graphic design and electronic imaging courses.

He was a part time lecturer at WSCAD and then at Epsom School of Art & Design on the visual communication course.

For 18 years Mike was the Photography & Graphics Officer for the Royal Horticultural Society, undertaking photography and design work for the RHS and running their photographic library. Latterly digital imaging and digital image databases became the main focus. He worked closely with the RHS teams on 'Interpretation' projects, exhibitions and public displays.

In 2009 Polypodphoto was established as a photography business and in 2012 started to organise and run photography courses and 'PhotoWalks'.

Mike is Associate Photographer at Surrey Heritage Photography, organizer for Polypodphoto Photography Courses and leader on 'PhotoWalks'.

He is a tutor at the Guildford Institute, photographer for the Institute and also for the Guildford Society.
